Licensed Professional Counseling
Texas License #84140

Choosing a counselor for your child can be a daunting task. My goal as a Licensed Professional Counseling is to help make you and your child feel accepted, heard, and valued. Children can benefit from therapy in so many ways and I want to make the experience a great one. Whatever the concern that brings your child to counseling, your child and I will spend time getting to know one another. I will address and assist their needs while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in which your child feels comfortable and safe. I meet children where they are at, using play, art, music and other natural forms of communication to facilitate a trusting relationship that will foster your child’s willingness to share, connect, and express feelings they may be having.

I am a Licensed Professional Counseling License #84140, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education in 2010 from Midwestern State University. I earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling in 2018 from Texas A&M University-Commerce. My formal counselor training includes graduate coursework in the fields of college and career, mental health, marriage and family, substance abuse and addictions counseling, play therapy, and children’s therapy. My professional work includes school counseling, counseling children, counseling children and their families that have special needs, career counseling for young adults, and counseling teen mothers. I taught special education for 11 years prior to becoming a school counselor and have a true passion for helping children.
